Japan Raises Visa Fees for First Time in 48 Years, Effective July 1

Japan has announced a major revision in its visa fee structure, effective from July 1, 2026.

This marks the first increase in nearly 48 years, with fees last updated in 1978.

The single-entry visa fee is 366 QAR.
The multiple-entry visa fee is 732 QAR.

Authorities say the revision is aimed at reflecting inflation and administrative costs. The changes will apply to all new visa applications submitted on or after the effective date.
